Factors that contribute to dandruff include Malassezia which is a type of fungus that normally lives harmlessly on skin, but if it grows out of control it can accelerate new skin production resulting in dandruff. A very dry or very oily skin may also contribute to this condition. Not shampooing the hair enough could also cause a build-up of oil and dead skin cells, causing dandruff.Certain skin conditions such as eczema and illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease tend to contribute to increase in dandruff. Your scalp may have dandruff due to the reaction with some hair care and skin products. Experts also associate dandruff with poor diet and mental stress.

6. Can I put colour on my hair? Is there any side effects?
